MOUNT PLEASANT (June 1, 2009) - The Mount Pleasant Police Department is proud to be a partner with the Mount Pleasant Boys and Girls Club, located in the Old Village section of the town.

Mark Schiavoni has been director for a short time, but brings an enthusiasm that is captivating to the kids and the volunteers. His passion is evident in his commitment to the youth of our community. In this day where every time you listen to the news you hear about youth in crisis, Mark and his dedicated staff are working hard to be a positive influence to at risk youth in our community.

Gearing up for summer camp, the Boys and Girls Club will be running wide open from 7 am till 6 pm each day. Not only are they helping with academic studies, they are working hard to expose the youth to the wonder of our great community.
