1. Why Peer Fitness Training?: The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) has constructed a precept describing standard fitness requirements for industry professionals. The decree prescribes that a firefighter not only be able to perform all aspects of his duties, but also maintain the capacity to train and instruct future recruits. The Peer Fitness Training program encourages applicants to ascend toward the professional level of fire chief while accomplishing the basic missions of safety-management protocol.
