Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex
The Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex is located at 889 Whipple Road. Facilities include the Margaret “Mugsy” Kerr tennis building, 12 hard tennis courts, four clay tennis courts, eight Quick Start courts, and a playground for ages 5-12. The tennis complex hosts junior and adult tournaments and is home to USTA and CALTA league teams.

We offer Junior Tennis Clinics for every level - from the beginner to tournament players. Clinics are offered at the following MPRD Tennis facilities; Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex and Park West Recreation Complex. (Monday Jr Clinics at Royall Avenue have been moved to Whipple due to construction)

Timothy Kealy is a 20+ year USPTA P- 1 teaching professional. His father was a tennis professional as well, so Tim was practically born with a racquet in his hand and has been playing his whole life. In his 20 years of teaching, he finds he enjoys teaching all levels and all ages, with an extra passion for coaching doubles and playing on league teams. Tim is happy to be a part of the MPRD team and looks forward to helping you grow passionate about tennis through junior clinics, adult clinics as well as private and group lessons.

Bradley Drummond comes to us from Kansas City where he was the Director of Tennis at Oakwood Country Club and Head Tennis Coach for Notre Dame de Sion High School. Bradley is a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional, certified Cardio Tennis Instructor and is a USRSA racquet stringer. He is an avid USTA league player, Captain and Coach. Staff Tennis Professional Steve Lake
Steve Lake was born into a big tennis family in Boone, NC, and picked up the sport at a young age, playing Junior tennis for 10 years. While attending Appalachian State University and playing on the Men's tennis team for four years, he taught tennis enthusiasts of all ages for six seasons at Mattapoisett Casino Tennis Club in Massachusetts. Before moving back to the south, he taught at Marion Indoor Tennis Club. Steve is very excited to join the MPRD family and begin his new journey with us!
