Instructional Baseball ProgramThe Mount Pleasant Recreation Department is excited to be partnering with Pro Performance Athletics for our Instructional Baseball Program. Head Instructor Tim Gansrow and coaches Mike Kozell, Matt Pierpont (Colorado Rockies), TJ Oleczuk (Baltimore Orioles), and David Peterson (Atlanta Braves) are looking forward to teaching our young men and women the game of baseball! If you want to improve your game in an instructional environment with outstanding instructors this is the program for you.
Sessions will start September 11th and will continue through October 18th. Sessions will be every Monday and Wednesday from 6:15-8:00pm at the Wando South baseball field on Whipple Road. Participants need to report to the baseball field on Monday, September 11th at 6:15pm.
For ages 7-12. Register online or in person at any MPRD building. Please be advised this program is for beginners only and is in a camp based setting.

Lowcountry Baseball League
The Lowcountry League is designed for skilled players in a team setting. Games in the Lowcountry League will be played twice a week Monday-Thursday throughout the Lowcountry area. Makeup games will be played on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Games will begin on September 11th and will continue through the beginning of November.
A tryout will be held for the evaluation and placement of players on teams/leagues. Players must be evaluated and selected to a team. Not all players will be selected to a Lowcountry League team. If you are not selected to a team you will automatically be transferred into our Instructional Baseball Program.
Age Groups 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18

Doyle Baseball Academy (February 17 - 18, 2018 on Park West #3 and #4)
Doyle Academy, the recognized leader in development for more than 37 years, has player development programs designed to bring your game to the next level. Our programs focus on building solid fundamentals in players while honing their skills, providing them with the tools to succeed - on and off the field. At Doyle Academy, we train our students to take a professional approach, regardless of their ability or level of play.
Ages 6-12 only.
Recreation and Dixie Baseball
Games will be played weekdays with occasional Friday evening and Saturday morning games for rainouts. Each participant will receive a shirt and hat. A post-season tournament will be held at the end of the regular season. No games will be held during Spring Break, however, practices will be permitted. All stars will be selected in all leagues.
Recreation Age Groups: 8, 9-10, 11-12, 15-18
Dixie Youth Age Groups: 9-10, 11-12

Middle School Baseball Program
The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department is proud to announce they now offer a Middle School Baseball Program. Each Middle School will have one team represented. Each team will keep up to 15 players (3 of which are pitcher only roster spots). All players must tryout for the school they are zoned for publicly. Players must be in grades 6-8. Senior Baseball League
This league is for 15-18 year olds looking to continue playing baseball through high school. Registration will last until March to give those players that do not make a high school team a chance to play somewhere.
Games will be played throughout the Charleston area with games beginning in April and continuing through mid-June. Players are needed! Contact Ryan Johnson for more information.

All Adult Sports registrations occur at the R.L. Jones Center. Adult Baseball League is a Fall program. A team must have a representative at the manager's meeting, turn in roster/contract/release by the deadline. Teams must also pay league fee and non-resident fee by deadline. Packet: ONLINE Fee deadline: August 11, 2017 by 6:00pm. ($1200 per team)
